Have to agree with the choice of “Chiapas” in the Stan Kenton dozens list. There are a number of other selections on the “Live at Redlands” album that could also have been included, such as “Here’s That Rainy Day” or “Tiare” as prototypical Kenton ballads.

This album sparked my personal interest in jazz at age 15, for which I will be eternally grateful to Stan Kenton.
