Topic: Players & Bands / The Brazilian Thread thank you , stefano. yes, the spok frevo is a great contemporary street frevo band in recife.its quite interesting to know there is a sophisticated horn culture like that in brazil.thanks for aprecieting my clips, ive lived in brazil 20 years and am continualy blown away by the things i see that never see the light of day in the international media. |

Topic: Players & Bands / The Brazilian Thread im not sure what i did , but, it seems ive covered up some of our posts. i just skipped two spaces to create paragraph differance, but, maybe it created the problem. i also got some classical guitar thing when i hit the youtube referance for joyce, but, i found it later, and, i have always liked joyce, she is very good. check out elza soarez on the “samba legends suite ” i reffered you to. |

Topic: Players & Bands / The Brazilian Thread if you go to www.youtube.com and type into search “91849”, a bunch of clips will come up that , except for the lonnie smith clip, were produced in brazil , with mostly top notch brazilian musicians. titles like “samba legends suite”, “fabio costa paulo russo andrew scott potter” ,”jazz boom tip tip bop” , “samba guitar” etc, will show great musicians playing in brazil, and, the other titles like anything with “edi” in it, will show incredible samba dance steps, which are important to understand brazilian culture. Even the hip hop mangue beat clips that usualy have the title of “mr e” or “rockamba re mix” show beach shots that also give you an idea of the sensuality brazil is dripping with and that is important to understand the culure and music. check them out…. |
