Blah, blah, blah blah, blah blah blah…blather, blather.

This is the biggest bag of foul wind, pretending to be astute critique, I’ve ever read. You would never get Coltrane’s work because you’re a music technocrat. JAZZ music is so much more than notes and chords. Coltrane could play technical circles around everyone if he wanted to (and many times did). And he pushed the the saxophone to new standards of what could be done on the instrument as well (altissimo, harmonics etc…) But it was never about that for Coltrane. It was always about saying something meaningful in his distinct and beautiful voice that portrayed an inner emotional truth with sound.

But Coltrane would say you’re entitled to your opinion….and so do I.

Flawed player?? I think not. Flawed critique more likely. Coltrane could never have effected the lives of so many sax players and music fans if he were as flawed and hyped as you describe here. My guess is like many Jazz critics you aren’t a player.
